In recognition of the ever changing global environment and advancement in research in its areas of operation, SWAA Ghana held a Strategic Planning Workshop in April, 2011 and drafted a Strategic Planning Document that would guide its operations in the next five years.

The workshop was preceded by a review and strategic thinking meeting which examined SWAA Ghana’s past activities and achievements.

Some major changes in the Strategic Planning Document are the revision of SWAA Ghana’s vision and mission to include Sexual Reproductive Health. This change is crucial scanning the current international environment and the renewed interest in integrating HIV & AIDS and Reproductive Health.

Other considerations were the review /drafting of the following policy/programmatic documents:

  • Advocacy Plan
  • Annual Programme of Work
  • Resource Mobilization
  • Monitoring and Evaluation Framework
  • Performance Management System

SWAA Ghana Executive Council members and staff were the main participants of the workshop. .. Consult led the processes.
